About Us
The Australian Disability Centre (ADC) was founded in 2021 after discovering there was a large gap in quality training for Support Workers who are supporting people with disabilities in the community. In order to provide a quality service with participants staff should be appropriately trained in all areas of a participants care – especially complex care.
All ADC training modules are designed by our staff alongside Registered Nurses, who all have extensive experience in disability support and community services. The training modules are delivered by Registered Nurses who has have considerable hands-on experience supporting individuals with disabilities in the community, providing a unique understanding and expertise of all training being delivered.
Training modules consist of theoretical and practical elements, using relevant products on specifically designed and functioning medical manikins. This allows Support workers to put the theory into practice and our Registered Nurses to assess Support Workers for competency. We also offer specific training tailored to a participant’s individual support needs.
The individual training modules are built in line with all underpinning compliance including NDIS Quality and Safeguard Guidelines, National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2006, human rights legislation, and Disability Discrimination Ac t 1992.
We are dedicated to providing valuable training to Support Workers so they are equipped with the necessary skills and hands on experience to support individuals in our community.
